Foundation Paper Piecing Tips and Tricks
First, you can totally go out and purchase paper made for FPP. It is typically thinner and easier to tear off. However, I have never used it and just use my regular printer paper instead.
Next. You will want to shorten the stitch length on your machine. This will make it easier to tear the paper away once you have finished your stitching.
Finally, when sewing on an angle, like this pattern, be sure to keep in mind that when you flip the fabric up and away from the seam, it will be shorter on one end than it was when you sewed it down. Be sure to center your fabric, or place it a little lower than you think you need to, to make sure it will cover the entire space it is meant to. It is a good idea to put a pin in the seam and double check that when you flip the fabric over everything lands where you want it to.
