It’s my Party Day 4- Favorites {part 2}

So from my last favorites post, you know that my favorite thing in the whole world to buy is ‘craft junk’. 🙂  Which means I have a LOT of it.  And A LOT of favorites.  So this post is hard in the opposite way of the first post, in that it’s hard to narrow down to one post my favorite crafting things.  I will try to stay focused and will only feature one thing in each category, but realize that this is just a scratching of the surface and not an all inclusive list. LOL

Fabric:  I Love fabric.  Any and all fabric.  Especially the new quilting cotton lines that have been coming out in the last few years.  I love Moda, Joel Dewberry, Heather Bailey, but lately I am crushing on so many of Riley Blake’s fabrics.  My newest love is the Dress Up Days line, with the lovely colors and this awesomely colorful chevron print:

Crafting Space:  I am currently in the middle of having my basement finished (by my husband and father-in-law).  One of the rooms they are finishing will be turned into my new craft room- and boy am I EXCITED!  I can’t wait until it’s finished and I will finally have all my craft supplies in one room.  I have been so inspired by this space:

It’s Heather Bailey’s craft room, and it’s gorgeous!  Mine won’t be nearly this spacious, but I hope to infuse as much of my personality into it as she has into hers.  And one day, when I’m a big girl, I will have a cabinet full of lovely fabrics just like she has. 🙂

Project on my To Do list:  My pinterest boards are full of projects that I am inspired by, but this one has me drooling and I hope one day to have the time to conquer it.

I love embroidery and the variety of stitches on this lovely design by Daisychain has me so happy.  I’m thinking this might have to be my summertime, sit outside with my feet in the pool, watching the kiddos play,
 project.  Sounds like I have found a birthday present to give myself. 🙂
*edited to add- I went ahead and bought myself the pattern. 🙂  I’ll be gathering the supplies as part of my present to myself – now to get it done before the baby comes. 😉

Paper Products:  I love all things crafty, but right behind my love for fabric, comes my love of paper.  I love Dear Lizzie papers by American Crafts but my favorite lines of papers comes from Crate Paper. I love their style and the soft feel of the colors they use.

There are so many more “favorites” I could list, but I’m sure you’ve heard enough from me today, so I’ll close down this post.  One day I want to make a quilt, I love using Sculpey clay for my figurines, Mod Podge is awesome, and of course Pillows are the most fun project EVER to make.

What are your favorite fabrics/ tools/ projects?  I’d love you to share them in the comments!  And then make sure you check out Gwen’s favorites on her blog today.  There’s plenty of goodness to be had over there too. 🙂

xoxo,
Amy

    I'm drooling over Heather Bailey's craft room, too. Beautiful! I'm so glad you bought the Daisychain pattern. I know you've been eyeing it for a long time.

    Heather Bailey sewing room (insert large sigh here) SO lovely. Mine looks more like a fabric/toddler toy explosion most of the time! Thanks for all the fun this week 🙂

    HB's craft room is beauteous! Can I get one too?

    We love all the same stuff. If I had to pick favourites it would be a toss up between fabric and paper. Those are my top two. But I sincerely love all crafts and all craft supplies to the point that sometimes going into a craft store sends me into fits and spasms. 🙂

    You will adore having your own space to create! I have a pretty long list of favorite fabrics right now but Sweetwater fabrics are where I seem to keep returning to as I create and Salt Air by Cosmo Cricket. Looking forward to Sarah Ann's new line too!

    Have a lovely weekend 🙂
