Let’s Talk Turkeys

I am in the process of finishing up an order for some Thanksgiving blocks and figurines.  This involves making turkeys.  Lots and lots of turkeys.  This brings me to my question.  Do you like the tall feathers or the short feathers?  I have typically made the turkey feathers tall, but this year I decided to experiment with shorter feathers- and I think I quite like the look of it.  I would love your opinion:

Tall
Or Short?
I will probably end up making some of each, but I’d like to know if there is a trend toward one style or the other.
And here is the whole Thanksgiving crew.  You can see that one couple is still missing their legs, but over all I think they’re pretty cute.  The blocks they sit on say “Gobble Gobble”, but I may make a set or two that say “Happy Thanksgiving” because with the addition of the turkeys- the set is quite large.
And since we’re taking about giving thanks- can I just say that I’m thankful Halloween is over and I can move on to the next fire in my life? 🙂
Just keep swimming…..
XOXO,
Amy

Jeepers those are cute. I'm loving the whole crew!

If we're talking feather height, I'm going to agree with Ashlee and Kara and say TALL!

My word, these just get cuter every time! I will also agree with everyone else and say that I like the feathers taller… I like being able to see the feather(s) behind the turkey's head so that the tail seems nice and full.

Exactly what Lorene said… the tall feathers look better sticking up behind the turkey's head. I love these, especially the Pilgrims. Your figurines always amaze me. I have no talent with clay. Love them!

Okay, so I LOVE your turkeys! They are adorable!
I like the look of both of them, but what about a "medium" between the two? Like not as high as the tall ones, but where you can see the feathers above the head?
    You are one talented lady!

I agree, both are super cute! I like the short one on the left the best. You can still see the feathers above his head but they aren't to tall!

    I like the tall.

But my real question is. Did you make those pumpkins or where did you get them.
