Day 3- It’s my party Sewing Machine cover

So here we are to day 3.  I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday.  This week is flying by.  It doesn’t help that both my husband and oldest son have been sick since Saturday.  I’m ready for this crappy cough/ fever junk to break and leave my poor family alone.  While I haven’t gotten sick myself, I don’t sleep well with all the racket going on around me.  I’ve been up today since 3 a.m.  It’s now 11 p.m.  So I hope you’ll forgive the lack of proper pressing on my sewing machine cover.  I totally made up the pattern, but I think I really like it.  I would like to line it and perhaps even add some fusible fleece to give it more body, but overall I’m really happy with it.  I used a natural cotton fabric for the main fabric and used pieces of the Delighted line by The Quilted Fish for Riley Blake.  I love the colors she uses, and I have a fat quarter bundle of her newest line Apple of My Eye just waiting to be cut into.  Can’t wait! 🙂

Gwen also made a sewing machine cover.  I thought it would be fun to see both of our takes on a similar project.  And I think you can really see our personalities come through.  Cool huh?
