The first time I saw banners in a Pottery Barn catalog, I was smitten. I started making my own in felt and thought they were so much fun. I came across some $1.99/yard fabric, and veered off into a whole other direction with my Happy Birthday banners. Well, after more than a year, they’re BAAA-CK! I was asked to put together a kit for a group of ladies, and well, the fabric ones were just too complicated for the money they wanted to spend. So, re-enter felt. And, you know what? I love them!! The colors are so bright and cheerful and I love that I can embellish them in ways that are just much more complicated with fabric.
