I said I would make some more and here they are. The big spiders are for an order that was placed (Thank You!). She wanted to be able to hang them from her light fixture, so I added a small wire loop just behind the head before I baked them. While I was at it, I figured I’d make more little ones for me. I can’t wait to put them all over my house- the little wire legs are just so creepy!

October 16, 2010 at 4:12 amHey Amy!
I love these cute little guys! I really love the new ones with the wire legs. Does the clay come out of the oven shiny or do you put a clear coat on it?
love your guts

October 16, 2010 at 2:58 pmI spray the figurines with a clear glossy varnish after I bake them. The clay actually comes out dull. The directions for the large spiders are at http://amerooniedesigns.blogspot.com/2010/10/polymer-clay-spider-tutorial.html. The small spiders are just two small balls with wire legs. hth, Amy

October 18, 2010 at 4:48 amI don't know, Amy… all of your spider posts have me rethinking my fear of spiders. I actually bought a little Halloween decoration the other day that has a little spider on it… that's a big step for me! I like these guys. The big ones are kind of cartoony, and the little ones are just plain cute. Nice work!
