Handmade Travel Accessories

Riley Blake Designs provided the fabric for this post as part of my participation in the blog tour for the Fleur fabric line. All projects and opinions are my own.

In this day of global pandemics, who doesn’t dream of going out on adventures to far off places? We may only be able to travel locally right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do it in style. And then, one day when this whole pandemic is over, we will be all ready to take off to the destinations of our dreams. Handmade travel accessories can be easily customized to match your needs and style by simply changing out the fabrics. But, who needs to change anything when the fabrics you are using are this gorgeous?

You can find the Nesting Travel Pouch PDF pattern, the Curling Iron cover OR, there is also a combo pack where you can get all three patterns at a discounted price.

The rich colors and gorgeous florals of this Fleur fabric line had me falling in love at first sight!

I made this set of nesting travel pouches to show off the main print in the line. These florals are absolutely gorgeous. You can find this pattern in my Etsy Shop.

This Curling iron travel case is the perfect addition to your handmade travel accessories. It allows you to pack your still warm (but not hot) curling iron without worrying about singing your clothes. The printable version of this PDF is available through my Etsy shop.

A fully lined and washable drawstring laundry bag is the final addition to the handmade travel accessories pile. The tutorial for the Travel Laundry bag can be found on the Diary of a Quilter blog. But if you would like to purchase the entire set of PDF patterns, you can find them here.

I can’t wait to finally travel again, especially now that I have this gorgeous set of pouches and bags to keep me organized and stylish!

I can’t wait to see what you make with this gorgeous fabric! Happy sewing friends! xoxo, Amy
