Personalized Teacher Gifts: Coin Purse with Wrap Card by Ameroonie Designs

*This was a guest post I did clear back in May. I just realized that I never actually posted it over here. Even though we’re already back to school, this would be a great idea for a Christmas gift or just a nice mid-year Thank you. And it doesn’t even have to be for a teacher, you could change the text on the card and make it for just about anyone. Teachers definitely don’t get paid enough for all that…

A Big Thank You

Thanks for being patient with me while I adjust to having a new baby, a family of 7 and putting my house back together after finishing the basement.  It’s been a lot to take in the past 4 weeks, but the good news is my feet are now actually looking like feet instead of floaties, I actually have a craft room where all my goodies can live together in one place (finally), and the heartburn that comes with pregnancy is…

"theme"-day thursday cards give away happy birthday

Happy Birthday Cards and a WINNER

I warned you earlier that I had been thinking of doing a couple of “theme” days where I stick to a common topic on that day- (i.e. Mondays are going to be “Mom”-days).The other theme day I thought I would do is “Theme”-day Thursdays. Each month I will choose a theme and each Thursday’s post will be centered around that theme. This will be a crafty theme (don’t worry- I’m not going to wax profound EVERY day over here!).So even…

Card Ideas

These are the two kits I came up with for a super saturday class I taught last week. Here are the pics I promised ladies! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here or e-mail me. Thanks Jeanette. (sorry if I spelled it wrong!)…

bridal shower thank you cards

We just had a bridal shower for my cousin who is getting married next week. (Yay!) She asked me to make some thank you cards for her to give to the guests. I used the rolled paper flower tutorial over on Little Birdie Secrets (I love all their video flower tutorials!) These cards are beautiful, but will probably need to be hand delivered to avoid extra postage. (that’s what she planned on doing anyway- which is why I made them…

Little Things

This is how the gift tag looked on my friend’s birthday gift. I really think it’s little things- a hand made card, a small token of love and friendship- that add grace and fullness to life. I am trying harder to take the time to let people know more often how I feel about them, and what they mean to me. It doesn’t take money or huge commitments of time- just smile at someone, give someone a call- right when…

Baby cards happy birthday paper

I was asked to teach a class for a Super Saturday in September. It always makes me nervous, what if no one likes my project? What if nobody picks me? (ahh, the never ending self doubt) So anyway, we decided that offering a kit that included a set of four different cards would be best. One birthday, a baby, a thank you and just a simple note card. Using some ideas I have already done, and modifying others, these are…

Making a gift tag envelope

To make this project you will need a tag template, scissors, paper, glue and embellishments. Start by tracing the template on your paper. Then trace it again, right next to the first tag. (don’t trace it right along the bottom of the paper as I did, you have no where to add a tab to seal the bottom.) On the second tag, create tabs on the bottom and side of the tag (for folding over and sealing edges) and create…

cards happy birthday totes

Latest stuff

First, I want to say thanks to everyone who supported me last week with the “sale”. It was nice to get a couple of totes sold and feel like I have some momentum pushing me forward into the upcoming season. I wanted to share some of my newest “makes”. The first is a tote bag for my Aunt. She is a cowgirl down to her toes and wanted me to make her a bag that reflected that. Well, home dec…
